1. What is this "workshop"?

2. Why "Zer0 Effort"? Does that mean you are lazy?

3. I have an idea for a 3D-printed item. Can you design and print it for me?

4. Who are you?

      1. What is this "Workshop"?

Zer0 Effort Workshop is a one-person 3D Printing operation. The workshop consists of two Bambu Lab P1P printers each with an AMS unit and one Bambu Lab P1S with two AMS units (I can print a single object with up to eight colors!). As my hobby and business grows I add more printers to keep up with demand. Most of my products are printed with quality brands of PLA filament. Some are also made of PETG. Here are some photos of my setup.

I also have an Anycubic Photon M3 resin printer, however, I am not offering any resin-printed products for sale at this time.

      2. Why "Zer0 Effort"? Does that mean you are lazy?

Far from it! I work very hard and diligently to create my products. The name is based on the username and handle I use on many websites, Timbo_Zer0. When I started thinking of brand ideas, the first thing that popped into my mind was Zero 'Something'. 'Zero Effort' popped into my head, and it kind of stuck. In my mind, it conveys that designing, creating, and 3D printing is fun and doesn't seem like work for me.

      3. I have an idea for a 3D-printed item. Can you design and print it for me?

Short answer: possibly? Long answer: I have a degree in mechanical design and use SolidWorks for 3D modeling, so the products I design are, well, mechanical. They are often bound by dimensional accuracy and the requirement to fit together in a mechanical way (much like LEGO bricks!). If you need, say, a part from your vacuum cleaner, a case to hold a ratchet set, or an oddly specific-sized funnel, I am your person! If you want a miniature 3D-printed version of your labradoodle, that is a type of 3D modeling I have not learned, and you're likely looking for a digital sculptor. That is not to say I cannot design something creative! Check out my portfolio to see some of my original models.

      4. Who are you?

I am Tim "Timbo" Z. I am a mechanical designer passionate about 3D printing and creating things related to my favorite hobbies. Born on the cusps of the GenX and Millennial generations, most things I create are nostalgic pop culture items, ranging from the early 1980s to the 2010s. My favorite fandoms include LEGO, D&D, Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, Lord of the Rings, Adventure Time, and many more.

I live in a small town in South Central Wisconsin with two cats, Thomas & Eleanor. They like to come down to the workshop and supervise.
