Timbo ZHello, fans and followers! I have a huge infodump here; some bad news, but mostly good news.
SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF THE US
I have become aware of a recent issue with how my store charges shipping to customers outside the US. Some of you are getting undercharged on large orders and overcharged on small orders.
The good news is that if you recently placed an order and were overcharged, I will refund the difference. Undercharged folks' orders will not have to worry about any added charges.
The bad news is I will have to suspend shipping outside of the US until I resolve this. I don't expect this to take too long, hopefully by next week.
CHANGES TO "IN STOCK" ITEMS POLICY
As my business grows and my product line increases, I am beginning to have issues with storage. To simplify and keep my sanity regarding my storage logistics, I will be making changes to how I mark items "in stock". Instead of having a physical figure made and sitting on a shelf ready to ship, I will be 3D printing the figures as they are ordered. What does this mean for you?
The good news is that almost nothing will be "out of stock". I would only mark something out of stock if I am out of the color that makes it and cannot get it anytime soon.
The bad news is that fulfilling your order might take an extra day or two as I crank out the figures.
TARIFFS AND MATERIAL CHANGES
As you probably already know, the current president of the US has issued an executive order to add tariffs to goods coming from China. This has caused the brands of filament made in China to increase in price.
The good news is that most of my materials are not made in China, and my pricing for figures will remain the same.
The bad news is that the few colors I did buy from brands made in China have become unavailable or increased in price to the point that I would have to charge you more. As a result, some colors have changed drastically as I switch to different brands. Mainly brown and dark gray have been affected (it's like 2004 all over again!), but some other colors will also change as materials run out and I find replacements.
NEW PRODUCT SCHEDULE
All good news here! Now that winter is over and I am back into the swing of things, I am making and replicating new figures on a more consistent basis. I plan to release about four figures a month. Maybe more, maybe less, depending on what's going on in my life. Here's what's in store for May:
- Classic Castle - Smiling Ghost! I have been wanting to make this guy for a long time, but kept putting it off. Well, it is almost ready and will be listed on my website in the next few days!
- Classic Pirate - Blue Jacket Pirate & Governor
- Classic Space - M-Tron & Blacktron II
Down the pipeline - I am still trying to find a way to have my store easily allow complete customization to build your own Castle and Pirate figures. When I have a solution, you'll be the first to know!
